2021 Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Last weekend, we celebrated our 2021 Wild & Scenic Film Festival!

The Festival offered guests a truly wild and scenic experience, with an outdoor screening in the heart of the Brandywine Valley.

Usually held every February, we opted to host the Film Festival at an outdoor venue to accommodate safety concerns associated with the pandemic. A virtual program was also offered for guests who were unable to attend the in-person event.

The Festival was hosted outdoors at Brandywine Red Clay Alliance's (BRC) Myrick Conservation Center Amphitheater to an audience of 200+ guests. At BRC's beautiful outdoor Amphitheater, guests settled in for an evening of cinema under the stars, and enjoyed live music, raffle prizes, and sweet treats.

The 2021 film lineup included twelve short films and documentaries produced by independent filmmakers from all over the world. The films covered topics such as conservation, adventure, land and water preservation, and BIPOC-led stories.

Along with the film lineup, guests enjoyed live music from opening band The Late Ambitions, and were able to enter raffles to win prizes from the Philadelphia Eagles, Pendleton, Taste Local Eats, and more.

Designed as a fundraiser, the Film Festival continued its tradition as a way to give back, and proceeds from ticket sales and raffle entries were donated to local conservation groups. This year's beneficiaries include Stroud Water Research Center, The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County, and the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance.

We're so grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, and the attendance of our guests — new and old. We hope that all who attended the Festival enjoyed the lineup and the new venue. We're already thinking about plans for next year's festival!
