Ed – Owner
Respected by all and feared by none. He’s that nice, loveable guy that will get to know your name and always has a smile on his face. Having been in the business since 1983 he has tried just about every piece of clothing for his many excursions. From climbing the Grand Tetons to competing in challenging adventure races, bike races, etc. he will tell you what it takes…(at left: on the summit of Grand Teton).
Brian – Owner
You might not recognize him in the grocery store because he’s our “behind the scenes” guy. He balances everything from the checkbook to our marketing strategies, places those special orders that make the service at TCO unbeatable, another company and many children. A true family man… You will often see his offspring working for the store during their breaks from school.
Sarah – Manager/Buyer
With Trail Creek for over 15 years, she knows the details about every item and order in the store. She enjoys trips to Maine; hiking in Costa Rica, Japan, China, and Europe (to name a few); and taking her dog, Skye, for walks every day at BVA or the Laurels. Her last backpacking expedition was at Glacier National Park in Montana. Sarah also keeps very busy raising her son Bodie and making sure the myriad of orders that need to get in by deadline are done. Considered one of the best buyers in the industry, (we hear that from many of our competitors) Trail Creek is lucky to have her as one of the team!
Coming from a retail background, Ellie keeps the wheels headed in the right direction. She is an active runner and has participated in many of the TCO team events and loves to travel, her favorite locale being the English countryside in the UK. Ellie also works behind the scenes with receiving the great products that make Trail Creek the go-to-store for our customers.
It’s her laugh you love to hear, which leaves a ringing in your ear. She brings to Trail Creek much cheer, although she only works part of the year. She’s always around for the holiday, because her company (DIG IT! Landscape and Garden Designs) hibernates in the winter days. She has much experience in the outdoors, so let her knowledge impress you inside Trail Creek doors.
You’ll see her running up and down Route 52 on any given day…ask her what she wears to stay comfortable, and she’ll happily tell you. Some of her favorites are the Lole Essential Cardigan, prAna Veeda Wrap, Patagonia Nano Puff pullover and Ugg slippers. Michelle will travel with the best of them and her favorite destinations include Telluride, Santa Fe, Yellowstone and St. John.
Although you will only see Amy in the evenings, she is very active in the outdoors and can offer advice on everything we carry in the store. Her favorites are Patagonia Atom bag, Smartwool socks and she could not live without her ExOfficio Insect Repellant bandana. She works outdoors in her “real” day job, and has come to appreciate many of the great products from the store. Amy also likes to travel and her favorite trip of late was to Scotland and the Orkney Islands, “Like stepping back in time!”

She grew up in Sweden where the saying “There is no bad weather, only bad clothing.” originates from and she knows all about how to stay warm and dry. Her favorites include Icebreaker base layers, Kuhl pants, and Arc’teryx Tempest jacket. When not on the slopes or in the store, she hangs out with her family, hikes and bikes.
After spending the past 6 years adventuring out in Colorado, Annie recently moved back to the area. She lives for the outdoors and any physical activity. Hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, crossfit, she loves it all! Jackson Hole is her favorite spot and Patagonia is her forever brand and dominates her wardrobe. Come in and swap adventure stories or ask which jacket holds up best out on the western slopes.

A recent graduate from Smith College, Allison is an art enthusiast, runner, skier, rower, and yoga newbie. Although she is always up for an adventure, she especially enjoys running through Ridley Creek State Park and sailing off the coast of Maine. You can almost always find her carrying her Nalgene bottle and wearing her favorite Smartwool socks.
A recent college graduate, and just back from a two-month, 12,000 mile road trip of camping and hiking in many of the U.S.’s beautiful national parks, Adelle has always loved the outdoors. Some of her favorite activities include running, hiking, camping and skiing. You could likely spot her running or hiking with her yellow lab at the BVA or the Laurels multiple times a week. Her favorites include her Patagonia Integral Jacket and Smartwool t-shirt.
Her beauty is breathtaking. She keeps a keen eye out for any friendly child or adult that is willing to spend some time with her, she loves her dog bed, and everyone is welcome to pet her as much as they want.
She’s still a handful. The youngest member of the team, she can entertain all who enter and show an interest. She will kill you with love!
Acorn 1997 – 2009 R. I. P. She was the best.
